Team Wärme

Project of ELLERY STUDIO

“Team Wärme” is a redesign of a card and board game developed to make planning Germany’s communal heat transition more accessible and engaging for municipalities. Using the metaphor of a local football match, heating technologies and energy principles are personified as dynamic, suggestive characters. Players assemble their “team” to strategize and prepare for the heat transition planning phase.

The game is distributed by the Kompetenzzentrum Kommunale Wärmewende (KWW), which also organizes and curates gaming sessions.

Blending education and entertainment, the game empowers local actors with the knowledge and tools needed for sustainable energy strategies. As the Art Director, I led the design team, developing the visual style and overseeing the creation of characters and assets. I conceptualized and illustrated dynamic characters and game elements, ensuring clarity, functionality, and a cohesive theme throughout.
